College school supplies?

Okay, so I start college on Jan. 16, but how do I know what I need to take with me? Will they tell me when I start or what? What did you take the first time? Also, when do I need to get my textbooks, and how do I know which ones to get?

You have to buy your textbooks, and the people in the bookstore should be able to tell you what books are needed for each of your classes. Take a notebook, folder, and a pen/pencil the first day. Some teachers may require specifics and will tell you the first day of class.

    Good Luck!

each school is different. i would suggest a notebook for each class and a folder or two. the school will tell youwhat textbooks you need depending on what classes you are taking. good luck.

Get your schedule, show it to the bookstore employees, they should be able to get you the books you need for your classes.

You should get your textbooks soon as possible though. Certain books can go fast, so you want to make sure that you get a book for class.
Enjoy :) . I hope you have a great semester.

Come to the first class with notebook, pen etc.

I recommend NOT buying the text (except for math) until after the first week. Many professors do not use the text.

The syllabus will tell you what textbooks and other materials are required. Try to buy your textbooks online or used.

Be prepared for "sticker shock". Most texts are around $100 or more if bought new at a bookstore. Sometimes you can sell them back but often you can’t.

Don’t bring your laptop or cell phone.
